We're kicking off our fair trade year with a lively discussion of fair trade apparel.  While many of us have enjoyed buying fair trade clothing, most of what we have been wearing is made by individual women as part of cooperatives.  Can fair trade be incorporated into factory production?  This notion was piloted by Fair Trade USA.  How's it going?

Our February Meeting with help us consider this arena as Jackie DeCarlo, Manager of Domestic Program for Catholic Relief Services, shares her experience as part of a delegation to India last summer to learn about factories producing fair trade apparel.  Our own fair trade business members will weigh in on the topic.
